Cycling Events Calendar 2006
- European Mobility Week - 18 - 22 September
European citizens have the opportunity to enjoy a full week of events dedicated to sustainable mobility. The objective is to facilitate widespread debate on the necessity for changes in behaviour in relation to mobility and in particular the use of the private car.
- European Car Free Day - 22 September
The European Car Free initiative aims to increase awareness among the public and decision-makers of the negative impacts that cars' dominant effect has on the quality of life in our cities.
- The London Cycle Show - 5 October
This show, held at ExCel in London is a four-day extravaganza for cycle enthusiasts.
- National Road Safety Week - November
Road Safety Week is organised by Brake, the national road safety charity. The theme for this year is Young Drivers.
- World naked bike ride - 7 June 2007
On Saturday 9 June 2007, in cities around the world, people will be riding naked to celebrate cycling and the human body.
- Bike Week - 16 - 24 June 2007
The UK's annual nationwide campaign to increase cycle participation
- Tour de France in England - 6 - 8 July 2007
In July 2007, around 200 of the world's best cyclists will be coming to the streets of London and Kent to race for the legendary Yellow Jersey.
